YouTube Channel Ideas For Girls! (2021)

In this post, I´m going to talk about some great YouTube channel ideas for girls you can try and build a massive following with.

Now, although most YouTube channel ideas will take a good amount of time and effort to make them work I will get into HOW you can turn things around in order to get discovered as a YouTuber newbie.

Let´s not waste time! 😁

1. Digital Marketing

A mainly male-dominated niche as it is digital marketing also makes rooms for some really successful women.

That is why Gillian Perkins has grown her channel to almost 300k subscribers on just 2 years, working from home, uploading videos once a week, at least in the beginning, and sharing great tips on how to increase your social media following, market your services online, etc.

If you´d like to be known as the next successful female marketer then jump in, this market is highly appreciated by YouTube as it is a money-making niche, which YouTube favors as it brings a lot of Ad revenue.

And that is why so many people are interested in getting into it.

If you just consider the fact that the average CPM ranges between $5 to $10 dollars, which is really high, you´d be interested too.

Plus, people searching for this type of content they (generally) want to earn more money with their businesses, therefore, they are paying customers, not just passive viewers who want to be entertained.

So, if you are selling a product, a course, or any sort of property you own there´s a ton of potential for making lots of money.

2. Art Channel

Whether you like to play the piano, paint, or you are skilled at handcrafting, you can start a YouTube channel.

AngieARTmanga is a female YouTuber that focuses on manga drawings, not just drawings, and she has built a loyal following of people that LOVE her work and want to learn more from her with each video she uploads.

Now, the power of focus on YouTube is real, and I´m going to talk more about this as you´ll see is a KEY strategy you need to take advantage of nowadays as YouTube gets more and more competitive.

And this is just one example of what is possible if you commit to your art/hobby.

3. Knitting

This type of channel idea is what illustrates the power of focus and niching down in order to stand out from the crowd.

There simply aren´t many high-quality channels that ONLY talk about knitting, therefore, the chances of succeeding are way higher.

And that´s what Kristin from Studio Knit did:

She grew her channel by making awesome knitting videos that people found super helpful.

The best part?

You don´t need a million subscribers to start making money if you have a very focused channel as it is a great way to convert those viewers into loyal subscribers as well as potential customers.

Think about it, lots of brands within the knitting space or market will want to work with Kristin as she has positioned herself as a knitting influencer, which is very specific but also very powerful.

4. Home Decor

Sarah from Sensational Finds made her channel about home decor, among other things, and focused on the frugal side of things by helping you “live a fabulous life, on a budget”.

She´s a stay-at-home mom, wife, and a Dollar Tree lover who shares great tips on home decor, finding great items on a budget, and how to make frugal living look fabulous, which is a great branding strategy.

Home decoring is a big topic, you can talk about all sorts of things, make product review videos, teach others about the latest trends, interview people within the industry, etc.

¡Marie Kondo Style!

The organizing/minimalism/frugal living is becoming more and more popular online.

The internet is rapidly filling with influencers that talk about getting rid of things, living with less, living a more meaningful life.

Although you don´t need to be a minimalist or practice all of the things you could teach you can share your take on these topics.

That is what the famous Marie Kondo did with her organizing knowledge.

Proper organization (not just decoration) and getting rid of things can be a YouTube niche and/or channel itself.

5. Relationships

Here´s another evergreen type of YouTube channel.

You will never have to worry about trends with this channel, people are ALWAYS going to care about building loving relationships with their spouses or loved ones.

Now, whether you want to focus on women, men, couples, marriage, courtship, it doesn´t matter as long as you create helpful content.

There are several great male YouTubers that have built a big fanbase by sharing their take on relationships and dating and not many women.

Therefore, I would suggest you do some research on this as it can be a thriving niche for you to dive in if you are interested.

You can (easily) find tons of opportunities to step in as an influencer and help people that are struggling with their partners and/or want to attract other people.

6. Women Rights

Women rights it´s not only a HUGE topic to cover and one that will, for sure, get the attention of many people, but it is also a trending topic right now.

Although it´s something you have to take seriously in order to build long-term relationships with your viewers it´s something you can make educational content about.

If you are someone already invested in women rights or want to learn more of then consider starting a YouTube channel where you share your journey.

Feminism, for example, it´s a sub-niche you could explore in case you don´t want to create a women rights-related channel but still want to share your piece on women struggle and how we can all change things for the better.

7. Niching Down On Beauty-Related Topics

Believe it or not, there are great YouTube channels that have been very successful at niching down in a very specific topic within the beauty industry (as well as Kristin did with knitting).

That is the case of Hannah, a self-taught nail artist and the creator of Nail Trail, which has been recently rebranded as Hannah Weir, a YouTube channel that focuses only on nail art.

Here are some of her most popular videos.

She has built a massive following by making videos where she shows other people how to paint their nails and make a beautiful design DIY style.

In fact.

Thanks to her channel´s growth due to the fact that she focuses only on nail art she has started to make content around other topics too and her growth never stopped since.

So, if you want to become a beauty influencer on YouTube then consider niching down when you are getting started, after a while, you´ll be able to grow both your audience as well as your content range of topics.

Plus, you can apply this to whatever other industry you want, like fashion, which is another HUGE market you can tap into and can be a smart way to enter not to try covering all sorts of fashion-related topics but instead focus on one thing and grow from there.

Little Caveat: Niching down way too much can also hurt your growth, you don´t want to choose super-tiny market not many people actually care about, do some research and try to find the sweet spot between massive and super small.

8. Gaming!

Yup, there are some great women YouTubers within the gaming industry, and you can be one of them too!

Think about it, both men and women want to see more girls playing videogames and crushing it while making funny and entertaining videos of their gaming sessions.

A good example of what´s possible is Barbara:

Although her channel is just starting to pick up she´s already making quite a bit of money through different streams like fan-funding, Adsense, and Sponsorships.

One of the things that makes Barbara channel stand out from the rest and it´s going to make the difference, in the long run, is that she does weekly Live Streams which helps her to connect with her fans on a deeper level and makes them part of what her channel is all about.

So, if you like gaming now you know there´s an audience waiting to be entertained with your videos, give it a try!

9. Traveling (For Women)

In the travel space on YouTube male have dominated most of the part so it is a great thing to see channels like Backpacking Bananas succeed on the platform.

Think about it, you can giveaway great tips specifically for women who love to travel.

The needs and wants of men and women differ a bit, therefore, making a YouTube channel where you can share how women can travel safely and be confident if they want to travel alone, how to travel with a partner, and things of that nature can work really well.

I can assure you there are lots of women out there that want to hear tips and tricks on traveling from other women, not just men.

Now, if you want to increase the odds in your favor a little bit more then you can (you guessed it) NICHE DOWN a bit further.

Think about the example I´ve just talked to you about, Backpacking Bananas.

It is not only a traveling channel that women can benefit from but also a backpackers-related channel.

She does a great job at giving thorough advice especially for backpackers that want to know what are some of the best hostels in each given city, how to make frugal living work while traveling, and things of that sort.

10. Parenting

From kid´s school projects to learning how to change a diaper you can find tons of high-volume and popular searches people make when they get to YouTube, and YOU can be the one that helps them out.

Whether you choose sub-topic to educate viewers about or you create a family Vlog where you share the daily struggles parenting comes with, you can make awesome videos that lots of people will find useful, or at least entertaining to watch.

Plus, family Vlogs are huge on YouTube:

In addition to that, women have their own particular take compared to men when it comes to parenting, let me explain.

Culturally, on a global scale, women are seen as more nurturing, understanding, and patience when it comes to raising a child, and, although that doesn´t apply (at all) to every given case there´s some truth to that notion.

Mothers tend to prioritize comfort and security for their kids” according to Sharon Bush, CEO of Teddy Shares.

So, at least from a superficial perception, although partially inaccurate, you can start making great YouTube videos that provide lots of valuable knowledge on how to communicate with your children, how to keep them safe, etc.

11. Healthy Recipes

Last but not least, healthy recipes!

In case you didn´t know recipe videos are extremely popular on YouTube.

Just think about it…

…What could be more helpful than watching your favorite YouTuber prepare the meal you want to make while she shows you EXACTLY what ingredients to use and what steps you need to take in order to make really tasty and nutritious meals.

Whether you are thinking about smoothie recipes, meal preps for the entire family, or super elaborated meals to cook for a romantic dinner it doesn’t matter, it all works great.

You can either make a vlogging type of channel where you share some of your own recipes and how you prepare them in order to have them ready for consumption throughout the week, or you can create your own cooking show where you try different healthy recipes.

Kids Recipes

A great sub-niche you can try out!

Lunch box ideas, quick recipes, healthy snacks, and many other topics you can cover on a YouTube channel that parents all over the world would love to watch, share, and learn more from.
